BUILDING AN INTERNATIONAL CV IN DESIGN
Students in the School of Design can choose between lots of partners abroad. More than 150 European universities and 75 extra-UE Universities have exchange agreements with our School.
The students selected for an exchange programme have the opportunity to enrich their academic experience by spending a period at a partner university, thereby acquiring credits that will be recognized by Politecnico di Milano.
Several opportunities are available:
• a period of study as part of Erasmus mobility, non-EU bilateral agreements or special programmes
• a work placement in companies or university labs
• a period abroad to prepare a thesis
• Double Degrees
MOBILITY FOR STUDY
The Erasmus mobility for studies within the EU programme Erasmus+ allows students, who are duly enrolled in Politecnico di Milano and have completed their first year, to go on a study or work placement at a university (or company) with which Politecnico di Milano has an agreement, guaranteeing recognition of all positive results obtained.
The School of Design has Erasmus+ agreements with more than 150 European Universities (link sedi partner) and bilateral agreements with about 75 Extra UE Universities

Students interested in participating in the exchange programme in an Europena or Extra Ue University must:
1. To know the partners Schools available in each program:
List Partner Schools UE and Extra UE
Check the section available online under the item ‘International context’ of the Degree programmes.
2. Consult the Rules for the International Mobility (available only in italian) defined by the School of Design.
3. Apply to the Exchange Program
• Apply the call for the international mobility which is open every year in January
• Prepare the documents required:
– portfolio
– motivational/presentation letter in English related to the school you are selecting
– curriculum vitae in English
• Be ready for an interview with the professor which is promoting the School you have selected as first choice
The International Mobility for the students enrolled in the School of Design is possible:
• Bachelor students
At 2nd Year at 1st and/or 2nd semester
or
At 3rd Year only in the 2nd semester
• Master Students:
At 1st Year in the 2nd semester (for all the MSc programs if the student is in continuity, with the exception of Interior Design)
or
At 2nd Year in the 2nd semester (for all the MSc Programs)
At 2nd Year in the 1st and/or 2nd semester (Only for the MSc in Interior Design)

Master of European Design Excellence is a program available to students in the 3rd year Bachelor of Design offered by 7 European Schools which provides two years of trading in two of these schools:
