INTERNSHIPS

 

Internship, through the practice of work, allows student to check and complete teachings received as part of the theoretical and methodological training.
Educational and training activities expected within the Bachelor and Master Degree produce useful knowledge for the entry in the world of work and to facilitate the professional choices, through direct knowledge of the field of work which the qualification can give access.
There are two kind of Internship:

Optional Internship
The optional internship can be undertaken at any moment during the university course and up to 12 months after graduation and doesn’t give credits.
The structure must be presented by student and student must ask a university lecturer to tutor him/her during the internship

Curricular Internship
During the Master Degree student has to undertake the internship in a company, professional firm or public/private office that has a special agreement with the Politecnico di Milano, in Italy or abroad.

The curricular internship confers:
For Interior Design: 18 CFU
For Communication Design: 18 CFU
For Product Design for Innovation: 20 CFU
For Design for the Fashion System: 14 CFU
For Design & Engineering: 15 CFU
For Product Service System Design: 18 CFU

Academic tutors:
RAP Office is in charge of compulsory and optional internships for the students of the School of Design, we represent the SAT_Traineeship Academic Structure for Industrial Design.

Career Service office is in charge of optional graduate internships (Bachelor and Master).

Politecnico tutors is assigned according to Course of Study and oversees the student during the internship experience.

Company tutor is responsible for student during the internship, and student has to refer to him.
