DOUBLE DEGREE in Shanghai for PSSD students
PoliTong – Double Degree Programme (Design)
The Politecnico di Milano School of Design and the Tongji University of Shangai have established a double degree programme within the PoliTong project which includes Politecnico di Torino, as well. The programme foresees the exchange of about 8 students per university between the Department of Art and Design of the Tongji University and 1 Master of Science programme in PSSD (Product Service System Design) of the Politecnico di Milano. Because of its feature, the programme is mainly addressed both to Italian and Chinese students.
The selection of those students enrolled in the Master of Science programme in PSSD (Product Service System Design) of the Politecnico di Milano takes place during the 2nd semester of the 1st year through a call for grant, according to the following criteria:
an interview in order to check student’s vocation and motivation regarding International exchange
language knowledge (English and Chinese),
previous process of study,
Curriculum Vitae, motivation letter and portfolio
DOUBLE DEGREE in Pechino for Interior Design students
The Politecnico di Milano School of Design and the Tsinghua University of Beijing have established a double degree programme within the Interior Design Programs.
The 10 students from Politecnico will apply at the 1st year semester of the first year of LM and spend a whole year in China, from the 2nd semester of the 2nd year of LM.
Students will attend courses defined by the Tsinghua Univesrity, lead their research for their Thesis and find some training in studio. The languages of the program are English and Chinese.
Master in European Design MEDes
The Master of European Design (MEDes) is a unique network of seven leading European design schools. During the five year programme (3+2), students are integrated into three design education systems and join a strong international community. This diverse experiences provide them with different approaches to design, multi-national perspectives and sensitivity to cultural differences.
Master of European Design (MEDes) is a network of seven leading European design institutions, all of whom offer a degree programme leading to the award of Master of European Design (MEDes).
The Master degree with the MEDes specialization includes successive academic study years in two of the partner institutions in addition to the major studies at the home institution. During their stay abroad the curricular contents follow the programs of the individual partner schools.
The studies abroad take place in English or in the respective national language.

DOPPIE LAUREE MAGISTRALI
PoliTong – per PSSD
Politecnico di Milano and Tongji University of Shanghai offer to their students the opportunity to take a double degree studying a year in the partner university (Tongji for Italian students and Politecnico for Chinese ones).
For both the schools this is a great opportunity because Italian students can go in China and understand the dynamics of this new powerful and increasing economy, and Chinese students can learn the history of design and the methodology that made Italian design leader in the world.
FIT
Politecnico di Milano and FIT (Fashion Institute of Technology) offer to American students the International Fashion Design Program in Milan and New York. This program is a study abroad opportunity for students who want to study fashion design in both the U.S. and Italy. Students who are accepted into upper division can complete the two-year program and receive a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree. Because of the international dimension, the two-year program requires the student to reside in Milan for one year, studying in English at the Politecnico di Milano, and for one year in New York City, studying at FIT.
GIDE
The Group for International Design Education – is an international consortium of higher education design schools, which work together in order to promote international exchanges and to give the possibility to compare skills, content and quality of the study programmes enriching the experience of students in the areas of interior design. The group consists of five main partner colleges in Italy (Politecnico di Milano), UK (Leeds College of Art and Design), Netherlands (Academy of art and design St. Joost Breda), Switzerland (SUPSI), and Belgium (Katholieke Hogeschool Mechelen).
WORKSHOP
Attraverso il programma Erasmus, la Scuola del Design organizza presso il Campus Bovisa attività di workshop con docenti provenienti da scuole internazionali e vice versa organizza la mobilità di docenti e studenti verso scuole partner.
