NEXT DESIGN INNOVATION

An Open Call for Ideas for young designers and innovators. 15 new ideas of interactive product-services systems will be materialized in Polifactory – the new makerspace of Politecnico di Milano – and exhibited to the Milan Design Week 2016

Until December 31, designers and innovators (under 35) can participate and submit their projects ideas. NEXT DESIGN INNOVATION offers a real opportunity to prototype 15 projects up to its potential market, supporting designers and innovators to develop a whole design-prototyping-exhibition process going to the Milan Design Week 2016.

Next Design Innovation, is a project developed by Regione Lombardia together with the Department of Design – Politecnico di Milano and his makerspace Polifactory (www.polifactory.polimi.it).

Young designers and innovators (designers, engineers, architects Under 35), coming from Lombardy or who have studied in Lombardy can participate as individuals or in group. 15 ideas will be selected on the following topics:
-       new household tools and appliances
-       interactive furniture and lighting
-       wearable and fashion
-       new tools and devices for smart cities
-       smart vehicles for smart mobil

Ideas can explore one or more of the abovementioned topics, having a specific focus on the integration between design and technology: embedded technologies in smart objects, new interfaces, innovative use of digital fabrication technologies combined with traditional manufacturing processes (crafts and industry).
