The AfghanMade carpet design competition is part of The Carpet Design Awards at DOMOTEX Hannover 2014 (11-14 January 2014); which is the world’s leading carpet design competition held at the largest and most influential fair for floor coverings.
Open to students and young designers who have an interest in product design and textiles. Judges will select the top three designs in each category, which will represent the finalists in each category.
All entries must be submitted online by 15 July 2013.
Each finalist will receive a 5′ × 7′ carpet of their design handmade in Afghanistan and the winner of each category will receive a $1,000 cash prize.
The winning designs will be featured in HALI (the leading international quarterly magazine for the rug and textile market) and be displayed at DOMOTEX 2014, as part of The Carpet Design Awards.
