The University of British Columbia Faculty of Law at Allard Hall invites artists and designers from around the world to submit their original work for the Allard Prize Award Competition.
The winning entrant will receive $10,000.
What is the Allard Prize?
The Allard Prize for International Integrity was launched by the UBC Faculty of Law in the fall of 2012. The inaugural prize will be awarded in September 2013 to an individual, movement or organization that has demonstrated exceptional courage and leadership in combating corruption, especially through promoting transparency, accountability and the rule of law.
The recipient of this important prize will receive $100,000 and the Allard Prize Award – an original creative work that represents the prize and its enduring legacy.
Artists are invited to submit their concepts and proposals for the creation of an original work that is symbolic of the Allard Prize and its ideals. Entry deadline is April 15, 2013.
The Allard Prize for International Integrity was created by Peter A. Allard, a UBC alumnus, as part of his 2011 gift of $11.86 million to UBC’s Faculty of Law, which helped to construct the faculty’s new building – Allard Hall.
