The 5R Hero Design Awards a European “cradle to market to cradle” innovation programme for sustainability aimed at design students. Participants are invited to come up with ideas and concepts that will help reduce our ecological footprint through using one or more of the 5R’s (reduce, recycle, reuse, replace, return).
5R Hero seeks to harness skills, ideas and commercial opportunities from developing well designed new products and services which will reduce our ecological footprint at home, at work and in the wider business environment.
The deadline for registration is the 30th of September 2012.
There are two categories for entries: one for undergraduate and one for postgraduate students.
The shortlisted entries will be invited to the Awards Finals in Brussels, at the 2nd Green Design and Innovation Forum in Brussels in June 2013.
