The laboratory offers fundamental support for learning the testing and representational techniques of design through physical three- dimensional models, leading up to real creation of prototypes. It collaborates with the first year preparatory labs and assists all students working on the creation of models and prototypes. The laboratory provides access to machines and tools for working HD polystyrene, wood and plastics: band saw, sander, lathe and thermoforming machine.
